Our Warm Getaway

On Wednesday, February 4th we were excited to fly off to Houston to spend time with Dustin's family. I am always so amazed at how well-planned everything is, from the carefully laid out personal care items in the bathroom to the exact number of yogurt containers in the fridge, along with fruit and granola. It is the perfect vacation spot for being pampered.


Dylan is always so friendly and happy to see anyone and everyone. If he has grumpy times, we seldom see them.


Hayden and Kolton are a blast to watch. There is no end to Hayden's creative ability to entertain.

Dylan loves going to school.
Hayden wishes Dylan didn't go to school, or that at least he could go with him.

The instruction was: "Dylan, be sure you stand on the steps of the bus, turn around and wave at Grandma so she can take your picture." The joke was on me.
On Friday, we picked Dylan up from school early and headed off to Galveston.

The kids had a lot of fun on the beach, and picking up seashells. They had never been there before.

We took the ferry to the Bolivar Peninsula, where we used to go most every time we visited the area in our early years. It looked much more inviting back then--before the hurricane.

Notice the pillars where a house once stood. This is the common scene everywhere.
On Saturday, Dylan had a soccer game. He is quite the agressive player.

Guess what we did on Sunday?

No trip to Houston would be complete without a trip to the Mall.
